Biblical Prophecy does not come without opposition from The Devil. From the beginning of time; The Devil has arranged a multitude of pitfalls to prevent the prophecies of God (YHWH) from coming to fulfilment. Let’s be clear about something. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, can stop one of God’s (YHWH) prophecies from coming to fulfilment; let alone any agenda, organisation, or earthly power. God (YHWH) has his own means, tools, and techniques to bring His will to pass.
One notable example of an organized effort to oppose God’s (YHWH) prophets is found in the time of Elijah. During the reign of King Ahab and Queen Jezebel, the worship of Baal was promoted across Israel, and a powerful network of false prophets was established to lead people away from the truth of God’s (YHWH). Jezebel, in particular, sought to silence God’s (YHWH) true prophets, ordering their execution and replacing them with prophets of Baal (1 Kings 18:4). However, despite this opposition, God’s (YHWH) power prevailed. Elijah, standing alone against hundreds of false prophets, called upon God’s (YHWH), who responded with fire from heaven, proving His sovereignty and exposing the deception of Baal worship (1 Kings 18:20-40).
This event highlights the necessity of renouncing falsehood and deception. To renounce means to formally reject or disown something, and throughout Scripture, God’s (YHWH) people are called to renounce sin, idolatry, and anything that stands against His will (2 Corinthians 4:2). Just as Elijah called Israel to renounce Baal and return to God’s (YHWH), believers today are urged to reject false teachings, worldly agendas, and spiritual opposition that seeks to undermine God’s (YHWH) truth.
Ultimately, no organization or movement can succeed in stopping God’s (YHWH) plan, for His word will always be fulfilled.
