2 Corinthians 10:3-5 says: “For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”.
As believers, we must enter a spiritual fight; spiritually, and not with worldly methods or fleshly strength. This means taking the fight to the spiritual realm through divinely empowered means in order to overthrow all spiritual opposition from The Devil. The spiritual realm is not an easy place to navigate, and once spiritual attacks start transcending into the physical; this makes it even harder.
But God (YHWH) knows this. He has equipped us with everything we need to stand firm and overcome. Through His power, we are able to wield the full armour of God (YHWH), as outlined in Ephesians 6:10-18, which includes truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, and The Word of God (YHWH). When we rely on these divine tools, we can withstand the enemy’s attacks and emerge victorious, for greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).”.
However, God (YHWH) will not allow The Devil too much leeway to attack us, unless Christ Jesus allows it, as He is sovereign over all. Christ Jesus stands at the front line, protecting us, interceding on our behalf, and ensuring that no weapon formed against us will prosper, as He holds us securely in His hand.
Through divine revelation, we can gain insight into when an attack from The Devil will occur, as God (YHWH) often reveals His plans to His servants. The Bible shows that God (YHWH) speaks to His people through His Spirit, granting discernment and wisdom to recognise spiritual battles. For instance, in Amos 3:7, it says, ‘Surely the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing his plan to his servants the prophets.’ In the New Testament, we see that the Holy Spirit guides believers into all truth (John 16:13), enabling them to be aware of the enemy’s schemes and to prepare for spiritual warfare.
Despite the enemy’s attacks on our body, mind, and emotions, our souls remain secure in God’s (YHWH) hands. Matthew 10:28 reminds us that the soul cannot be touched by anyone except God (YHWH). John 10:28-29 assures us that no one can snatch us from Christ Jesus’ hand, and Romans 8:38-39 confirms that nothing can separate us from God’s (YHWH) love. In spiritual warfare, we can rest knowing our souls are protected and eternally secure in Christ Jesus.
Through Christ Jesus, we can remain secure in the fact that through His divine authority, we cannot come under the attack of The Devil.
